Step 1:
- Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) so it has time to heat up while you prep. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat—makes cleanup a whole lot easier.
Step 2:
- In a medium bowl, add the flaked salmon (make sure you’ve drained any excess liquid), then stir in the oat flour. Crack in the egg and pour in the 1/4 cup of water. Stir it all up until you’ve got a dough that sticks together nicely. If it feels too wet and sticky, sprinkle in a bit more flour. Too dry? Just add a little water go slow, a teaspoon at a time.
Step 3:
- Dust your counter or cutting board with oat flour so the dough doesn’t stick. Roll it out to about 1/4 inch thick. Use a cookie cutter (or just a knife) to cut out shapes—whatever works! Lay them out on your lined baking sheet, leaving a little space in between.
Step 4:
- Pop the tray in the oven and bake for around 18 to 20 minutes, or until the biscuits feel firm and the edges are just turning golden. Once they’re done, take them out and let them cool completely on a wire rack before giving one to your pup.
