Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup plain rolled oats not instant, no added sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped carrots or pumpkin puree

Method
 

  1. In a small saucepan, bring 1 1/2 cups of water to a boil. Add the rolled oats, reduce heat to low, and simmer for about 10 minutes until the oats are soft and water is absorbed. Stir occasionally.
  2. While oats are cooking, finely chop the carrots or measure out the pumpkin puree.
  3. Once oats are cooked, remove from heat and stir in the applesauce and carrots or pumpkin puree. Let it cool completely before serving to your dog.
