Ingredients

  • 1 pound of beef or chicken liver cleaned and trimmed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup tapioca flour
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Equipment

  • Food processor or blender
  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper or silicone baking mat
  • Spatula or spoon

Method

Step 1:
  1. Cut the liver into small pieces and place them into a food processor or blender. Blend until smooth and finely pureed.
Step 2:
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the liver puree with the eggs, tapioca flour, rolled oats, and olive oil. Stir well until the mixture forms a thick, slightly sticky dough.
Step 3:
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Using a spoon or your hands, shape the dough into small bite-sized treats or press it flat and cut into shapes with a cookie cutter.
Step 4:
  1. Bake the treats for 20-25 minutes until firm and cooked through. Allow the treats to cool completely on a wire rack before serving to your dog.
