- Rinse and pat dry the lettuce leaves carefully so they don’t tear. Set aside. Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the hot dogs and cook, turning occasionally, until browned and heated through, about 7-10 minutes.

- Place one cooked hot dog on each lettuce leaf. Sprinkle with diced onions, sliced pickles, and shredded cheese (if using). Drizzle ketchup and mustard over each hot dog to your preference.

- Carefully fold or roll the lettuce around the hot dog and toppings. Serve immediately while warm.
