Ingredients

  • 1 can 10 oz cooked chicken, drained and shredded
  • 2 ½ cups ground oats oat flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil melted and cooled

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper or silicone baking mat
  • Fork or whisk
  • Oven

Method

Step 1:
  1. Start by heating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper or a silicone mat so nothing sticks.
Step 2:
  1. In a big bowl, put the ground oats. Then add the shredded chicken, egg, and melted coconut oil. Mix everything together until it forms sticky dough. If it feels too dry and crumbly, add a little water—just a teaspoon at a time until it sticks together nicely.
Step 3:
  1. Next, roll the dough into small balls about an inch wide. Place them spaced out on the baking tray. Press down gently on each ball with the back of a fork to flatten them a bit.
Step 4:
  1. Pop the tray in the oven and bake for around 18 to 20 minutes. The treats should turn golden and feel firm when you touch them. Let them cool off completely before giving them to your dog. Enjoy!
